This year PCA had an abundance of Homecoming festivities! The week of homecoming was filled with multiple fun activities for PCA students and staff! Both the upper and lower campuses participated in spirit week. A week where students could dress up in correspondence to the daily themes. This year's spirit days included country vs. country club, movie character day, safari day, throwback day, and red and black PCA pride day! On Friday PCA hosted our first pep rally! The pep rally was a hit! Students and staff were able to participate in games and experience a performance by the PCA Cheer team and Band. Before dismissing from the pep rally SGA leader, Emily Bridges said “Let's paint the streets red and black”, and that's exactly what we did! The pep rally was followed by an early dismissal which was then followed by the annual homecoming parade in Uptown Shelby. Several families and people from within the community came out to support PCA! You could definitely see the love of the PCA community reflecting in the smiles of the crowd! Later that evening the homecoming game was hosted at the upper campus. The Pinnacle Eagles faced the Veritas Warriors in women's and men's basketball. Between the games, the homecoming court ceremony was held. Representatives from each grade were announced, along with the crowning of the 2022 Homecoming King and Queen. The night concluded with the crowd being invited to the lyceum to enjoy a firework show funded by PCA. On Saturday, high school students attended the PCA Homecoming Dance at the Historical Earl Scruggs Center, in Uptown Shelby. The dance allowed students to socialize and celebrate an end to the 2022 Homecoming festivities. Not to mention the unforgettable dance moves of the chaperones! The night was full of laughter, dancing, and good times. Overall, homecoming week at PCA was filled with red and black pride and memories that will last a lifetime! What a time to be an Eagle, thank you to all those who made this week so special!
