Science Through a New Lens: Sixth Graders Explore Cow Eye Anatomy
Published October 07, 2026
Our sixth graders in Ms. Gambrell’s and Mrs. Austin’s science classes brought their lessons to life with a hands-on cow eye dissection!
Students explored the eye’s structures up close and connected their discoveries to what they’ve been learning about vision and light waves. Working together, they identified parts of the eye, shared observations, and asked thoughtful questions about how those parts work together.
From “Whoa!” to “Why is it so squishy?” to “I can do it!”—the experience was filled with curiosity, collaboration, and moments of confidence! We love seeing our PCA Eagles discover that science is something they can explore, question, and experience!
